Oversee all Yeshiva Fundraising: Cultivate and solicit minimum of 400 donors yearly. Implemented new ways of giving towards the Yeshiva. Total Money raised through donations has increased by 80% Number of Donors has increased by 65% 500 New Donors this past year.
Torah Letzion was started in May 2008 with the goal of helping students grow religiously and personally in their respective Yeshivot/Seminaries. Our organization began when our founder, Marc Merrill, was approached by his Rosh Yeshiva to raise funds for a student who was unable to afford the high cost of studying in Israel. • Founder of scholarship organization providing financial assistance to post high school students studying abroad in Israel. • Fundraising efforts presently exceed $600,000. • Events and fundraisers such as annual raffle, basketball tournaments, and evenings of learning have amassed $450,000. • Major gifts of 5K plus- $150,000. • Developed and coordinated the following fundraisers: annual raffle, basketball tournament, and evening of learning. • More than 250 students have received financial assistance. • Developed strategy with Board of Directors to implement new initiatives aimed at increasing revenue and scope of services. • Maintained contact with school administrators to monitor student progress. • Top five finalist for the Next Big Jewish Idea- LA Jewish Federation, a federation which aims to help up and coming non for profit organizations.
As alumni director, I am seeking to establish a strong database of all Yeshiva Central Queens Alumni, so we can stay in touch with our alumni even after they have graduated, and be able to run events and reunions: • Compiled contact information for over 2500 alumni • Developed school's alumni Facebook page and update regularly with school news (or school happenings) • Assistant to Executive Director coordinating 73rd Annual Dinner.
