Led the Retail Pricing, Corporate Pricing and Business Retention departments. Chaired Pricing and Persistency Management committees. Reported to Commercial Director. • Led and motivated New Ireland Pricing team to ensure that the company met 2018 and 2019 sales targets of €300m and €350m (annual premium equivalent) respectively. • Led our Business Retention team to meet our 2019 target of 92% - a company high in recent years. Managed and minimised Covid risk to company persistency levels during 2020. • Championed introduction of Prophet software into department to ensure both pricing and valuations departments worked off same program and thus ensuring consistency of pricing and reporting. • Increased agility of department to launch a huge number of pricing initiatives. • Introduced standardised, metric-based approach to Pricing Committee submissions. Enabled a more consistent understanding amongst senior stakeholders of company risk and impact on business targets. • Provided budget to Distribution departments to empower them to make pricing calls within parameters. Increased accountability and engagement. • Nurtured a close relationship with Risk, Finance, Customer Service and Distribution areas. • Introduced pricing basis, distinct from reporting basis to minimise impact of Solvency II process simplifications. • Presented to senior Bank of Ireland Asset Liability committee on half-yearly pricing position.
