A graduate from TU Dublin Tallgaht campus over the 4 year of studying forensic science, i learned how to research background information to course material. Over those 4 years I experienced 12 hours of laboratory skill a week that was a total of 500 hours of first hand experience with analytical equipment such as: HPLC, PCR, GC and more. Also with the practical competencies such as DNA extraction, Dilution, sample preparation of known and unknown samples, how to set up a reflux apparatus and more. DNA analysis such as PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction), 96 well plate. DNA extraction methods such as: Organic, inorganic, Chelex based DNA extraction, Silica based extraction and more. I'm more than able to work abroad and would be interested and grateful, for a position in any scientific role that's available in the world. Working on several different medical devices, in a cleanroom environment with the correct ppe. Production was carried out in either automated or manual production lines. That required keen to detail so minute missing one thing would effect the product significantly.
City Analysts limited is a growing environmental laboratory with three labs across Ireland (Shannon, Cork and Dublin). I currently reside in the Dublin Lab these past year and 4 months. City analysts is an accredited lab by INAB (Irish National Accreditation Board) to ISO 17025. I've been trained on many of that different analytical analysis, that the Dublin Lab carries out such as the Following: -pH - Conductivity - Chlorines (free and Total) -Redox -Florine's -Colour -Turbidity -TSS (Total Suspended Solids) -Total Solids -Total Water solids -Dust -Organic Content - Total Volatile Solids -Total Volatile Water Solids. responsibilities • Performing multiple different analyses such as Ph, Conductivity, T.S.S (Total suspended solids and more). On several different samples Types (effluents, influents and more) that can range between 20 to 100 hundred samples per analysis in a fast paste environment each day. • Along with general chemical responsibilities such as sample chuck out, cleaning, contacting clients, uploading results, insuring equipment is working efficiently by the ISO 17025 and maintain a clean workplace environment.
