Born in 1983 and raised in Barcelona, my first encounter with design was during my bachelor. Back then, design was about the making of cool products, but it was during my Masters in TU Delft, where my whole perspective about design evolved to a higher meaning. This new understanding has been growing during the last years working in international environments and sectors with talented people. During this time design has also evolved. We have now the opportunity to leverage design to make a positive impact in business and therefore in society. Withing this, I see UX research as a key activity in this challenge. It helps design to better understand the desired outcome while it also helps to raise awareness of the impact design does on people wellbeing. This drives me to deep dive into user understanding as it triggers my mind to make new connections that I try to apply to business, product and people.
As a UX Research expert at Smallpdf, I lead, facilitate and educate discovery efforts in product teams. I also take an active role in mentoring junior researchers.
I lead the entire research practice and manage two teams of research of 3 and 4 researchers distributed across 21 product teams
I led the discovery efforts for 2 product teams, improved the operability of the UXR practice and generated foundational research.
