After obtaining two Master's degrees (of which one in East Asian studies, with a focus on Japan) I've started my professional career by joining MUFG Bank (Europe) N.V. at the Japanese Corporate Banking Division. My amazing colleagues made it easy to find my way around the job, and I'm picking up the work quick. I try to learn new skills and making new connections every day, even during Corona. I'm motivated, enthusiastic, a team player and a hard worker
As VvE (Owners' Association), we manage all the ins and outs of the flat, in particular those area's as apply to privately owned apartments. As financial board member, among other things, I check and approve payments, and keep a general eye on the finances. I recently transferred to a more secretarial function, where I keep up correspondence with suppliers, owners, etc.
Present: Teaching Dutch to a recently emigrated Japanese couple, in order to help them integrate into the Netherlands. Past: Coached a Japanese women to pass Dutch exams. Taught Japanese to a diplomatic student.
Helping families: Taking care of children during the day. Babysitting: Performing full going-to-bed procedure for the children and watching over them when they sleep. Nannying performed for families with one to three children, ages ranging from 5 to 13 years. Babysitting performed for families with one to three children, ages ranging from 10 months to 12 years. The international families included several French and Irish families.
This internship was the last part of my Master's in Pedagogical Studies. During a full year, I worked with both the orthopedagoog and the psychologist affiliated with CSG Groene Hart, shadowing them in their work and learning to perform much (if not all) of the same duties. My duties consisted of: - Performing diagnostics (intelligence, personality, behavioral, etc.) research and dyslexia/dyscalculia screenings, writing rapports about my findings and translating them to action-oriented advice, - Reporting those findings and advice to the students, their parents and the school, - Taking part in multi-disciplinary meetings, - Taking part in the newly established work group aimed at setting up a protocol for gifted students at the Lyceum location, - Student guidance and counseling, - Experiencing as many aspects of the daily tasks of a school-orthopedagoog as I can, - and more.
Assisting in organising the July JLPT (Japanese Language Proficiency Test), in 2017, 2018 and 2019.
