Highly motivated and enthusiastic, seeking for more complex ambience to advance career and grow as strong and qualified personnel.
● Explored functional impact of domain-deletion mutants of AmtE on bacterial motility and nitrogen metabolism, with indirect implications for plant colonization ● Genetic manipulation via conjugation and sucrose selection ● Functional assays: swarming, twitching, acetylene reduction (ARA) ● Domain-deletion mutant construction and physiological analysis
Microbial System & Promoter Activity Studies, University of Bremen •Designed split-domain mutants (site directed mutagenesis), PCR, carried out a successful cloning strategy, and bacterial transformation •Promoter::eGFP reporter assays: Investigated the cis-regulatory architecture of a poplar gene by promoter truncation and reporter assays in Nicotiana •Fluorescence and Confocal microscopy for spatial visualization of promoter activity, and Image analysis using ImageJ/ Fiji •The Lab project was presented in a poster presentation
Advanced Ceramics, University of Bremen — Bremen, Germany Supervisor: Dr. Deepanjali Dutta Project: Alumina Ceramic Textiles as Novel Bacteria‑Capturing Wound Dressings Performed antibacterial testing of ceramic wound dressings; conducted culture work with E. coli K‑12 and Bacillus subtilis under sterile conditions. Prepared nano‑porous alumina textiles and other wound‑dressing materials for laboratory evaluation. Completed media preparation, inoculation, incubation, and plating for comparative assays on alumina textiles vs. alternative dressings. Ran cell viability assessments on bacterial cultures exposed to alumina and comparator dressings. Compounded simulated wound fluids (SWF) and carried out protein‑adhesion tests to evaluate fluid–textile interactions.
Project Proposal Symposium Forged a scientific research idea combining Biophysics and Biology and presented a symposium on “ In-vitro Assessment of Anti-Biofilm Activity of Wound Healing Nanofibrous Biopolymer Scaffolds” under supervision of AG Reinhold and AG Brüggemann.
● Quality assurance for herbal raw materials/products per API standards ● Supervised ~35 workers on biosafety, sterilization, and GMP
•Prepared sterile culture media and processed blood, urine, and sputum samples to isolate and identify microorganisms within clinical diagnostic workflows
Research project on “Microbiological analysis of drinking water quality in government schools of Pokhara”.
