I am a mechanical engineer and a computational modeler. As a Mechanical Engineer: I have studied mechancial engineering in Sharif Univeristy of Technology; the best Iranian University and in UC Berkeley; one of the best universities in the world. I have applied mechanical engineering deign principles for the design of a load bearing shaft, a barge and a bridge. Furthermore, I have extensive knowldege of CAD, including AutoCAD and SolidWorks. I have good knowledge of engineering software including ANSYS, Comsol, MATLAB and OpenFOAM. Overall I have 15+ years of work experience in different mechanical engineering / physics fields. As a Computational Modeler: I have an extensive knowledge of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and solids mechanics modeling methods including: Finite Volume method (FVM), Finite Element Method (FEM), Finite Difference Method (FDM), and Spectral Methods; all obtained through years of computational modeling experience. I have extensive knwoledge of coding and languages including UNIX/LINUX, Python (including Python packages, e.g., Dask and Xarray), C/C++, Fortran, Parallel programming (MPI) and High Performance Computing (HPC). In addition to the above, I possess unique research, problem solving, and design capabilities; achieved during Postdoc/Ph.D./M.Sc./B.Sc. work within some of the best universities in the world, and years of industrial work experience. I have well-honed communication and professional writing skills; achieved via working with highly-qualified scientists, analysts and engineers, and publications/talks in top-tier scientific journals / conferences. I am a Canadian citizen, able to live and work anywhere in Canada; as well as a US green card holder, able to live and work anywhere in USA.
