Managing turbocharger Technical s Service business for 2- and 4-stroke applications of South Korean engine builders (HHI-EMD, HSD, STX)
Managing turbocharger service business for the following engine applications: Low Speed (2-stroke) and Medium Speed (4-stroke) Marine, Stationary & Railways
Full responsibility for Technical Service / Product Line RAIL, including: # kickoff and execution of product improvement projects # representation of Technical Service in different kind of projects # presentation of Service RAIL matters in management reviews # implementation of product design changes # field modification decisions # decisions regarding field tests # warranty & goodwill cost budgeting, forecasting and reporting # risk reporting # commercial decision taking
Tasks encompass the following activities: # Technical and commercial evaluation of damages (on-site if needed) and giving advice on corrective measures to customers; Claims settlement # Examination and documentation of problems and failure cases of turbochargers # Initiation of damage repairs # Initiation of technical product improvements, inclusive implementation of effectiveness testing # Organization and supervision of modifications in the field # Continuous product improvement management # Ensuring consistent improvement of processes and product # Focused feedback of product field experience to the technical department for further development # Technical support for the global service network with main focus on ABB Jiangjin Turbo Systems Co., Ltd, Shanghai and Turbo Systems United, Tokyo # Customer care with focus on traction applications worldwide and engine builders and end users in China and Japan
