Software Developer with experience at Bank of America and a strong foundation from a MAI in Computer Engineering at Trinity College Dublin - which I use in building and maintaining enterprise-grade applications in regulated environments. Currently working across the full software development lifecycle, with early progression into a development lead role for a core application whilst handling regulatory deliverables and production enhancements. I focus on improving code quality, modularity, and system maintainability by introducing automation, streamlining release processes, and enhancing developer workflows. I work extensively in Agile environments, managing task tracking, sprint delivery, and cross-functional coordination while ensuring consistent progress visibility and delivery accountability. Alongside development responsibilities, I contribute to onboarding and knowledge transfer by providing KT sessions for new joiners and supporting internal toolkits and frameworks developed during previous phases. I am particularly interested in scalable backend systems, developer tooling, and automation-driven improvements that increase engineering efficiency and system reliability, especially with the help of AI. I am a strong believer of the need to work "with AI", not "using AI".
Working as an SDE Analyst - progressed early into a development lead role for a core enterprise data application whilst handling regulatory deliverables, taking ownership across the full software development lifecycle including design, development, testing, release, and production support. I am focused on improving code quality and system maintainability by introducing modular designs and automation across development and release workflows. Working in an Agile environment, I managed sprint planning, task tracking, and stakeholder updates while ensuring consistent delivery progress. In addition, I provided production support, conducted knowledge transfer sessions for new joiners, and supported internal frameworks and tooling developed during my initial internship phase.
Worked as a SDE Intern over the course of 6 months where I automated manual backend scripts by transforming them into UI-based tools, significantly improving accessibility and reducing operational overhead for the team. I designed and built a dedicated UI screen that integrated multiple internal tools used across the bank, establishing a scalable and user-friendly interface for common workflows. This work formed the foundational architecture for an internal tooling solution that was later expanded and adopted by additional users and teams. I collaborated with stakeholders to translate manual processes into structured automation, enabling more efficient and self-service driven workflows.
Worked as a Research Intern over the course of the summer (3 months) with an aim to design and develop a Deep Learning based programming assistant for novice programmers, to tag along with the Pytch Project - an ongoing research project at Trinity College Dublin.
