I am a physician with over 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries, leading and inspiring teams of research and development executives. Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to contribute to the development of several medicines that are now available to treat different types of cancer and autoimmune diseases. These medicines are now available for patients and provide hope to patients and their families. I am passionate about cultivating and mentoring the next generation of leaders. Over the years, I have benefited from the experience my mentors have passed onto me. That is why it is critical that today’s leaders take the time to teach, encourage and push the next wave of talent to grow and reach their goals. As a leader, I strive to build diverse and highly effective teams, creating a culture of purpose, where every team member feels inspired, supported, and included. I am also a music enthusiast supporting the Friends of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, one of the best philharmonic orchestras in the world, as well as the State Opera House unter den Linden in Berlin. Music is important to bring people together, and increase mutual understanding of different cultural and political backgrounds.
