As the Head of Section I contributed to a great variety of tasks, from writing policy proposals, organize public-private collaboration to managing external communication. The job gave me an in-depth knowledge of political communication as well working on tight deadlines and still getting the job done.
As press director I helped secure a consistent communicative message that was applied throughout the organization. This involved getting relevant media interested in the work of the organization and writing pieces about us. On top of that I wrote analysis about how the current legislation influenced the further development of social innovation. I ended up having several meetings with politicians and civil servants about how to construct legislation that could ease the continuous effort of social innovation entrepreneurs.
I helped prepare the MP for meetings with the press as well as her day-to-day parliamentary work. This included political analysis, commentary for law proposals, press releases and meeting arrangements. I thrive in a hectic political atmosphere where it is essential to stay calm in stressing situations, when e.g. the entire media establishment is knocking on your door asking for a comment. The job also made me aware of my talent for analyzing complex challenges and finding the correct and desired path to a sustainable solution.
Association Najdeh is an NGO involved with developmental and educational projects in a Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon. I supported the Head of Team and Program Manager with developing and delivering high quality support for the Shatila Youth Center. I also helped secure funds for the further development of the youth program.
