Conduct policy research by collecting and analyzing federal, state, and local datasets; track policy and budget developments; and synthesize findings into briefings for the communications team. As the Director of Mentoring, I developed programming and curriculum to provide 75 students from four different schools in the Boston Area a full scholarship to attend the Harvard Model Congress conference. Prior to the conference, I organized mentoring sessions with Harvard College students to teach and prepare students to attend the conference. I organized the most mentoring students to attend the conference in the history of HMC and planned a clothing program to provide students with business formal clothing. Five students from the mentoring program won awards at the conference, a record high.
As Chief of Staff for Harvard Model Congress Middle East, I lead staff communication and oversee programming to create a positive, inclusive, and affirming environment for the members of our staff. My responsibilities include managing staff relations, coordinating logistics, and planning programming that encourages collaboration and fosters a sense of belonging.
Promoted civic engagement as a political advocate with extensive media coverage, including writing an Op-ed for Teen Vogue, speaking on a podcast with Hillary Clinton, speaking at a virtual town hall to recruit poll workers, and interviewing with the New York Times about Personal experience.
