Led battery lifetime programme for Lilium eVTOL aircraft (1.5B EUR startup) covering: Strategy: Developed battery lifetime strategy. Programmes & projects: Spearheaded rollout of Palantir Foundry data & analytics platform for the energy department. Led cross-functional flight clearance project for Lilium's first manned aircraft. Team: SM for battery simulations and modelling team.
- Developed strategic R&D roadmaps & reports collaborating with partners to enhance localisation strategies and logistics efficiency. Led a team of 4 subject matter experts. -Conducted technical battery technology assessments (battery, pack, BMS, TMS) and led battery recycling scouting to optimise the supply chain and deliver circular economy goals. -Ensured compliance with EU Battery Regulation 2023/1542, UN38.3, and ECE R100.3.
- Acted as a program interface between energy tech partners (Amte Power, About: Energy). - Planned and guided experimental data collection for a prototype NMC cell from a partnering company.
-Led formula student electric powertrain team of six 4th year students to enter Formula Student UK 2018 competition (Silverstone). Placed 3rd in cost and 4th in design class. -Spearheaded a successful completion of battery pack design and integration with the powertrain & chassis teams. -Designed and built a 300V, 6.5kWh battery pack (800 cylindrical LFP cells) integrated with 80kW PSM motor. -Conducted tractive system FMEA as well as risk assessments for a single cell, module and pack testing.
