Intermediate Mechanical Engineer (8 months): Owner and Subject Matter Expert of several auxiliary systems used on Canadian Naval Warships such as Black Water (sewage treatment and disposal), Reverse Osmosis Systems, Solid Waste Disposal Systems etc.. Review specifications required by the Canadian Navy for their new River Class Destroyer ships which includes equipment specifications, design changes, review of piping and pipe fitting components.

Reviewing of subcontractor proposals and pricing and choosing the better qualified contractors. Maintaining detailed lists of all material related vendor proposals for a project. Estimating hours for work completion and writing up work packages for execution of repairs or changes on ships.
Wrote work instruction packets for offshore personnel to execute asset support, maintenance and repair of offshore natural gas platforms. Detailed work included reviewing P&ID drawings, 3D models, and site surveys to write step by step instructions for work toe be completed in the field. Included BOM creation for ASME and API hardware and tooling.
Worked in creating and writing quotes for food processing equipment. Quote work included applying empirical data from past test trials to determining proper equpment selection based on sizing and throughput. Equipment: blanchers, rehydrators, used in the food industries.
Managing the building of custom made bioreactors for biotechnology companies. Working on a daily basis with engineering firms, biopharm companies, vendors, designers and the manufacturing department in the design and building of skidded systems. Duties include, reviewing specifications (ASME BPE), researching process instruments, valves, pumps and vessels for use in hygienic environments and writing V&IL (Valve and Instrument Lists) lists.
