I am an agriculture graduate with a horticulture background. In my current role with CABI as a master trainer. I work to develop the capabilities of farmers in improved farm management techniques for sustainable production and safe use of pesticides. I have experience in mainstreaming rural women to play their role in the farm management and marketing. I also worked as field supervisor for the gender analysis on adoptation of Bio-control method to control Tomato fruit borer, Pakistan. Aspiring for career job in some growth-oriented organization where I can contribute the value earned through my education, field experience and dedication.
As an Horticulturist my prime responsibilities were overseeing the cultivation and maintenance of plants and crops. I imparted professional trainings to gardeners and producers. I was also involved in developing IPM strategies to control weed/pest/diseases. I also estimated and analyzed horticultural yields, operational costs and financial returns. Maintenance of financial and administrative records was also one of my responsibilities. I was also involved in liaising with colleagues, officials, customers, professional groups etc. and organizing/giving presentations and demonstration.
As an intern my duties were record entry for the farmers profiling and provide advisor services as well.
