I’m an architectural designer and researcher with over 10 years of experience in architectural practice, research, and academia. I'm skilled in developing design proposals and guiding projects through conceptual design, design development, and construction documentation. Proficient in CAD, 3D modeling, renderings, and presentations. My research examines urban history, cultural heritage, and the impact of socio-political dynamics on urban landscapes. My work has been published in Docomomo Journal, Modernism in Africa, and After Memory: Essays on the Sudanese Archive. I previously served as the Chair and Country Representative of Docomomo Sudan.
Produced technical drawings for residential and mixed-use projects in compliance with NYC zoning and building codes, and submitted for DOB approval. Advanced projects from conceptual design and RFP responses through design development and construction documentation. Coordinated MEP and structural systems with consultants. Collaborated with the design team on exterior façade development, aligning design solutions with client vision and project goals. Created high-quality 3D renderings of interiors and exteriors to support client decision-making and approvals. Developed project presentations and material boards for client reviews and planning board hearings.
Led the research team and maintained quality control for written and audio-visual content. Developed research on Sudanese urban history, conducted interviews, produced episodes, and wrote and edited essays for “Khartoum Podcast.” Participated in “Sudan Moves” Artist Residency by Goethe-Institut, producing installation for the virtual exhibition, Acts of Resistance: An Anthology.

Led design from conceptual phase through construction for CTC Engineering Office Building, Showroom and Master Plan, including exterior, interior, landscape, and hardscape design. Documented DD and CD design phases and produced technical drawings for curtain walls and cladding. This included producing plans, sections, 3Ds, renderings, bills of quantities, meeting with suppliers, and material selection. Coordinated the review of contractors’ schedules and the submission of shop drawings and samples. Collaborated with builders to see that construction was in line with drawings and designs, in particular during floor, ceiling and curtain wall installation and landscape concrete work on site. Completed exterior, interior and furniture design of Soba Showroom including plans, sections, renderings and construction drawings while collaborating with contractors on site.
