After graduating from Ege University Textile Engineering Department in year 2001, ‘’denim’’ has become my main focus for almost 23 years since I had started my professional career. I had been working as Denim Wash Responsible as a member of H&M family since 2006 by handling all wash-related issues inc. Sourcing for New Denim Suppliers, Technical Evaluation Of Current Denim Suppliers, Giving Wash Consultancy to All Related Teams and Denim Suppliers, Updating Capability and Capacity of Laundries, Updating Wash Prices Regularly. As of 1st of August, 2023 I left H&M Group and established a consultancy company, called LIONA TEXTILE CONSULTANCY. As the founder of LİONA TEXTILE CONSULTANCY, I am aiming to reach closer to the textile industry with consultancy and sourcing services and to share our wide-ranging experience with business partners which are operating in several types of textile production in many parts of the world. Details of Current Role in H&M • Handling wash-related issues from sampling stage to shipment with a technical point of view • Involving sample stage of wash developments to foresee the potential problems and finding proper solutions • Following-up the orders in denim suppliers wash wise and giving directions to the laundries about wash quality requirements of H&M to achieve the best quality • Supporting to P.O. denim and non-denim teams as wash consultant • Working closely with garment technicians about common parts of manufacturing and washing • Updating P.O. denim team about technical capacities and capabilities of current laundries • Technical evaluation and improvement of laundries for wash-RQS • Technical evaluation of potential laundries in all respects before starting to work with them • Updating wash prices regularly based on current laundries to achieve the most rational price • Giving denim course in Sweden Buying Office of H&M (Stockholm) regularly (once in 6 months)
