As a chemical engineering graduate from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, I'm always trying to push the boundaries of what we know and see how far we can let our knowledge take us. With prior research and industrial experience, I hope to apply everything I've learned over the years in various academic and corporate settings and continue adding to my skillset. Currently, I'm a Process Development Associate at Amgen, working with bench top experiments to generate data that support decisions made at the manufacturing scale. I'm always open to collaboration and looking for the next opportunity, so feel free to reach out!
Small-scale upstream experimentation: • Characterize shake flask, culture bags & bioreactor stages through lab experiments to develop commercial drug substance processes • Ensured readiness of cell culture unit operations for process performance qualification (PPQ) campaigns on accelerated timelines • Reduced bench-scale timelines by 15 days and served as point of contact to support teams to stay on track for control strategy lock • Develop statistical models through JMP and plot graphs using Spotfire and PI Vision to produce documents used in regulatory filing • Support purification lab work through harvest steps and pool hold studies; assisted with column steps review and reports Large-scale runs & manufacturing support: • Led monitoring of four GMP runs for clinical supply and liaised cross-functionally with manufacturing floor • Monitor process trends, own electronic lab notebooks and review electronic batch records for engineering runs • Assist with product quality risk assessment to develop control strategy and enable commercial production Scheduling & Lab Operations: • Co-scheduler for AMA pivotal drug substance laboratory experimentation and equipment usage (492 small-scale bioreactors in 2025) • Lead weekly virtual scheduling meetings to align staff and inform of any outages or equipment downtime • Assist teams in planning runs and working around unexpected constraints, liaise cross-functionally to ensure timely execution • Implemented Excel and Smartsheet tools to automate lab scheduling and reduce time spent coordinating with various project teams Cross-functional collaboration: • Cleared backlog of 384 samples in 3 months as sample management lead for program and implemented communication workflows to improve data retrieval and submission coordination • Liaise with prep team to coordinate atypically sized bioreactor runs; oversaw 9 experimental blocks and reduced resource constraints by identifying gaps in schedule and providing more downtime
