Key Performance Responsibilities • Review and interpret in-depth tender documentation to accurately price building and install packages. • Work closely with internal Design and Steel teams and internal stakeholders across the project lifecycle to ensure the best outcomes for Fleetwood. • Ensure accurate costing of projects based on project design/plans, incorporating detailed bills of quantities and an analysis of risks and opportunities requiring further evaluation prior to final submission. • Undertake first principles estimating. • Prepare RFQ documentation for submission to subcontractors / suppliers. • Prepare scopes of works for clients and subcontractors. • Proactively undertake subcontractor interviews to mitigate scope gap / creep risk on Fleetwood RFQ responses. • Interpret architectural and engineering drawings and specifications, and prepare bills of quantities. • Liaise with the relevant project stakeholders (internally and externally - including architects, engineers, builders, contractors, project managers, suppliers and clients) to clarify project requirements and source pricing information. • Provide pre and post contract cost deliverables to the Sales team. • Assess the cost implications of changes to product design/specification or project delivery. • Thoroughly analyse supplier and trade cost to ensure value for money. • Record and analyse/interpret information on costs and trends related to materials, labour and services • Establish and maintain cost basis for estimating. • Ensure effective communication with clients, internal and external stakeholders. • Undertake peer review of estimates. • Comply with document control requirements and maintain good administration practices including recording and reporting of quotes. • Produce regular and ad hoc reports for management and department/team use • Other responsibilities, duties and activities as directed.
