I have a passion for model making and drawing using different materials. I also have experience with various design software such as Adobe Suite, Rhino 3D and Clip Studio Paint. (Insta portfolio: @maggie.folio) For my most recent work experience, I finished a month-long work experience under Julian Mcintosh Architects and took part in various projects. During the time, I helped redesign the new office space and worked on a home reconstruction project that will be filmed and aired on Your Home Made Perfect. My role was to create new plans and digital models to fit the client’s needs as well as understand the cost of manufacture and materials. I have also been a mentor for students in two Foundation Diploma courses, for around a year and a half at Ravensbourne University.
As an Assistant in Urban Design and Masterplanning at Benoy, I contribute to the development of large-scale, internationally focused masterplan projects across diverse geographic and cultural contexts. My work spans multiple scales — from city-wide visioning and strategic frameworks to detailed district and neighbourhood-level planning. I support the design and coordination of mixed-use, residential, commercial, and destination-led developments, translating high-level concepts into deliverable and implementable masterplans. My role involves research, spatial analysis, concept development, 3D massing studies, urban design guidelines, and client presentation materials, ensuring cohesive narratives from vision to execution.
Worked on a range of projects at different stages, such as Student residential, commercial buildings, new build and refurbishments.
I am a Student Ambassador in Ravensbourne where I help out the BA Architecture and Foundation Diploma Department during Open Days and Portfolio Days. I also mentor younger Foundation Students as well.
I am a student at the Ravensbourne Architecture department where I am able to attend lectures, workshops and seminars related to Architecture to help expand my knowledge and understanding of various subjects such as sustainability and model making, as well as how my own work can incorporate these ideas to enhance the design.
I participate in the 2021 RIBA Mentoring Scheme where I listen and ask questions about my mentor's experience as an Architect and was able to learn about existing design projects of a company, as well as gaining knowledge on life in practise and careers.
