    - Crimson Conserve Competition (October 2024): Spearheaded the university-wide energy conservation competition in collaboration with UA’s Department of Energy Management. My team engaged residence halls through tabling events and workshops, promoting energy-saving strategies and fostering a friendly competition. The winning residence hall is rewarded with an SGA-sponsored pizza party. This initiative raises awareness and empowers students to take actionable steps to reduce energy consumption. - Saving the Tides (September 2024): After the first SEC football game against Georgia, we organized a campus-wide recycling effort. SGA invited Sigma Tau Gamma, Bama Bee Club, UA Environmental Council, and First Year Council to participate in this initiative. We had around 55 volunteers and collected up to 100 bags of recycling from the Block Student seating section. - Act A-05-24 (November 2024): This act was passed to ban non-biodegradable confetti on campus. We are continuing efforts with UA Facilities and Grounds to provide biodegradable confetti poppers to students who choose to use them for graduation photography shoots. At key locations, we are placing yard signage and additional trash bins to encourage the proper disposal of confetti wrappers and the use of biodegradable confetti. - Tree Planting (November 2024): The Environmental Affairs Cabinet and First Year Council are collaborating with the university’s Facilities and Grounds department. In this program, Facilities and Grounds grows native trees off-campus to maturity, ensuring they are healthy and ready for long-term growth. Once the trees reach a suitable stage, they are brought on campus for planting by student volunteers. By involving students in the planting process, this initiative fosters a hands-on connection to environmental stewardship and emphasizes the role of trees in creating a greener, more sustainable campus
