Health Physicist | Engineering Laboratory Technician | Navy Nuclear Operations (EWS / EDPO) | Radiological Controls & Reactor Chemistry | Aspiring Nuclear Criticality Safety Engineer | MCNP & SCALE (In Progress) | B.S. Nuclear Energy Engineering Technology (2026) I am a nuclear engineering professional with extensive hands-on experience in naval nuclear operations, radiological controls, and reactor plant chemistry, currently serving as a Health Physicist and Engineering Laboratory Technician in support of naval nuclear propulsion systems. My work centers on radiation protection program execution, radiological surveying across alpha, beta, gamma, and neutron fields, and applying ALARA-driven principles to maintain safe, compliant operations in high-consequence environments. Throughout my career in the U.S. Navy nuclear community, I have served in progressively responsible technical and supervisory roles including Engineering Watch Supervisor, Engineering Duty Petty Officer, and Leading Engineering Laboratory Technician. In these positions, I have supported reactor plant operations, coordinated complex maintenance and operational evolutions, mentored junior technicians, and applied structured root cause analysis and risk-informed decision-making to ensure system reliability and safety. I am currently seeking opportunities in nuclear engineering, criticality safety, radiological engineering, or related analytical roles where I can contribute in a highly focused, technically driven environment. I am highly flexible with respect to location and open to relocation or remote/hybrid work arrangements, with a strong preference for roles that emphasize stable, predictable day-shift schedules rather than rotating shift work. I am particularly interested in environments that support long-term technical development, such as national laboratories or advanced nuclear organizations, where I can continue building expertise in radiation transport, shielding analysis, and computational tools such as MCNP and SCALE. I am currently completing a Bachelor of Science in Nuclear Energy Engineering Technology (expected 2026) and remain actively engaged in professional development through the Health Physics Society, American Nuclear Society, and Institute of Nuclear Materials Management. My long-term goal is to contribute to safe, innovative nuclear systems through work in criticality safety analysis, radiological engineering, or applied nuclear science in a stable, technically rigorous environment.
