I am a results-driven multi-faceted Principal Research Scientist and Teaching Associate, with 19 years of experience at world leading biomedical and healthcare institutions in Singapore, India and USA, focused in particular in the medical field of hepatic metabolism. Specifically, I am passionate about improving the health of patients through interdisciplinary approaches combining molecular biology, biochemistry, and translational research to identify novel strategies for prevention, diagnosis, and treatment, specifically exploring the role of oxidative stress, mitochondrial dysfunction and apoptosis in liver diseases. I am looking for new challenges in this area so as to achieve my fullest potential. I enjoy multidimensional roles, especially where I can bridge academic institutions with industry bodies/corporations to generate productive research collaboration. The core belief that my work can act as a bridge between fundamental scientific knowledge and practical solutions for health issues has been a guiding principle shaping my endeavors. Since a young age, I have been enthralled by the marvels of the natural world and the boundless opportunities that the field of science presents for exploration and revelation. This, together with intellectual curiosity, practical application, and the chance to meaningfully contribute to the advancement of human well-being has made science even more fascinating and exceptionally appealing to me. I strongly believe that my analytical thinking, perseverance, attention to detail, collaborative spirit, leadership abilities, passion for impactful research, and unwavering ethical conduct has brought me to where I am today, and I look forward to furthering my career in the science field, specifically in molecular biology and liver disease research.
