I worked as a nanny full-time for three summers, where I took care of three wonderful children. I was in charge of getting them to their various activities on time, feeding them, playing with them, making sure everyone was happy, and more. I love thinking of creative ways to keep children entertained; some of the activities we did include: sewing, drawing, cooking, making play-doh, water balloon fights, nature walks, and more.
I volunteered as a camp counselor at Camp Awesome, a camp specifically for kids on the Autism Spectrum, for a week during the summer of 2014. My duties included supervising campers, getting them to activities, spending time with them during various traditional summer camp activities, and aiding in calming them down when needed.
