Supporting the development and training of new staff. I work in all areas of recruitment including interviews, onboarding, in-water training and progress tracking. This is until new staff are 'fit to teach' on their own.
My role entails the instruction of children in both swimming and water safety. Within my role, I am competent in teaching all levels from toddler to squad classes, though during the after-school program, I only teach intermediate to advanced levels.
During this experience, I shadowed a plethora of journalists, editors and producers and liased with the chiefs of staff within the bustling Melbourne broadcast media newsroom. I had the opportunity to assist in the creation and production of VO stories for the 4pm News as well as observing operations for the main bulletin at 6pm.
