- Bussiness development for R&D projects for external customers - Innovative and sustainable product development to meet the requirements of the target markets - Attending relevant events to make publicity for the R&D results, products, and services.
Research on "PolyBioDeg" project: Structure-properties of melt-spun bioplastic fibers in correlation with their biodegradation behavior and mechanical performance. This project is funded by European Commission within Marie-Curie Action (Grant number 101110810) and it is underway through collaboration with University of Amsterdam. Some accomplishments during this project: - Making project timeline with appropriate milestones and deliverables - Biweekly and monthly meetings for internal updating about the progress - Writing reports such as review and research articles, and the final report - Giving lecture in relevant conferences and also internal meetings - Developing other ideas during the project for a follow-up proposal
- Managing R&D projects on different topics e.g. polymerization, SSP, compounding, fiber melt-spinning, and different characterizations such as biodegradation - Direct contact with customers from acquisition, quotation, and management of their projects till accomplishment of the results, and reporting - Development of sustainable fibrous products from biodegradable polymers in the line with niche market - Internal meetings for managing laboratory services and processing trials on pilot plants - Writing PolyBioDeg proposal titled "Structure-properties of melt-spun bioplastic fibers in correlation with their biodegradation behaviour and mechanical performance" for Marie-Curie Action within EU HORIZON programs - Participation in writing innovative proposals for other relevant subsidies - Networking through attending relevant conferences and exhibitions - Training of undergraduate and graduate students through internships and academic thesis - Mentoring Postdoc projects and PhD thesis
- Taking over the BMBF-funded STIMULATE project - Development of TPU monofilament through melt-spinning as POF for medical sensing mesh e.g. during MRI - Writing proposals for national and European subsidies such as DFG, DAAD, and MSCA - Direct contact with partners for industrial projects - Giving lectures: “Publishing: from the first idea to the final proof”, "Karaman fellowship research stay outcomes: STIMULATE project" and “Melt-spun fibers from bioplastics: materials, properties and applications”
- Head of the Department of Materials and Textile Engineering - Managing internal meetings, and educational and research activities - Representing the department in the meetings at Faculty of Engineering
Working as an Assistant Professor at Department of Materials and Textile Engineering with the responsibilities including: - Giving lectures e.g. Fiber production process, Polymer chemistry, Fluid dynamics, and Fiber physics. - Supervising BSc and MSc students, and mentoring PhD students through collaboration with other public universities. - Participating in other activities e.g. student communities, NGOs, etc.
