Manage Singapore Cable Car Ticketing Counters o Manage day-to-day operations, feedback and enquiry o Management of rank and file staff o Implement and encourage good business practices o Ensure clear communication of products and guest information over the counter o Oversee any other projects arising related to sales and ticketing operations o Make quick decisions during unexpected situations arising. Business Development, with focus on partnering other entities on Sentosa Island o Analyze trends and propose potential tactical/ long term promotions o Negotiate settlement rates o Ensure proper implementation of new promotions o Maintain good relations with Island Partners to promote long-term symbiotic relationships.
The Sentosa MA programme is an 18-month rotation-based generalist programme for fresh graduates, rotating through the various business units and job functions under SDC. The four subsidiaries under SDC include Sentosa Leisure Management (SLM), Mount Faber Leisure Group (MFLG), Sentosa Golf Club (SGC) and Sentosa Cove Resort Management (SCRM). The following outlines my 3 rotations in the programme. Pricing and Channels Development (SLM) • Work with external partners (e.g. SAFRA, NTUC etc.) to promote Sentosa-owned attractions • Drive incremental sales over the counter by kicking off sales for new products • Set foundation for new sales reporting system, TABLEAU. Special Projects (SLM) • Encourage good business practices among cash-handling functions in SLM, through cross-functional coordination and advisory • Provide secretarial support to SLM senior management meetings • Support GM’s office where necessary. CEO’s Office (SDC) • Function as staffing officer to CEO, SDC • Served as Secretary to Senior Executive Team’s fortnightly meetings • Carried out reviews of certain areas of the wider organisation as required by CEO.
