Serve as a Registered nurse in a Trauma 1 hospital. Caring for patients and families with mild to severe accidents: gunshot wounds, pedestrians verses auto, automobile accidents, and general outside accidents. Other areas include: ventilators, chest tubes, wound dressings, medication such as drips and titrations of the drips, cardiac and pulmonary monitoring, and EVD’s. Helping families cope with the death of a loved one or changes that will be accruing. Act as charge nurse on occasion. SICU taking care of the adult and older teen vented and non-vented, new tracheotomies, new ostomies, GSW, knifings, Traumatic brain injuries, and helping patient cope with the aspects of their life changing event. Coordinating organ donations. Pediatric ER: trained in the fast pace of the ED. Triaging patients, getting them into a room, assessing patient, and performing interventions in order to admit the patient, send them home, or transfer patient to other facilities. NICU taking care of stable ventilators, feeder growers, Methadone addicted infants, hyperbilirubinemia, hypoglycemic in a level three and two facility.
Serve as a Registered nurse in the Emergency room taking care of patient throughout the entire life span. Care for patients in the area of stroke (Stroke Center) and Stemi. Take care of patient post and pre liver, kidney and heart transplant. Patient with all types of cancers. Access and assist with VAD, access ports, use the arctic sun, and other uses of the emergency room such as breaks, sutures, electrolyte imbalances, dehydration, GI bleeds and septic patients.
Serve as a Registered nurse in a family home with two brothers on a home ventilator, tracheotomy, and G-tube. Monitor AB monitor and Pulse ox. Responsible for medication and feedings throughout the night, occasional nebulizer treatment, maintenance on equipment, and maintain general well being of patients. • Infection control documentation • Patient weekly updates. • Update Physicians orders
Serve as a Registered nurse in a twenty bed unit, caring for patient with acute illnesses, including orthopedic surgeries, respiratory failures (using both conventional ventilators and asilators), disseminated intravascular coagulopathy, drownings, CVVH, and currently taking cardiovascular classes to take care of patients with cardiac surgeries. Promoting health and support to patients and families in coping with illnesses.
