About

When the opportunity to work for myself and my own dreams and future was offered in a time when all around me people were losing jobs, hope and financial security... I took up the challenge. Letting go of roles that no longer serve to bring any fulfilment or joy to my day was indeed the best decision for my own personal wellbeing and has given me freedom to choose what - and who - goes into my moments, hours, days, weeks... Looking to enjoy 2021 and beyond... doing what matters to me.

There was a time when 'work'' was defined as a 9 to 5 J O B but not any more!! It is a very different world we are living in. Today we can work from anywhere. The constraints that once defined us... no longer exist. The ONLINE world is where we are learning to navigate in order to find other ways to work together. Meeting people is a 'virtual' experience, and 'doing business' is something that can happen beyond personal national boundaries. The world is no longer as small as it was. Our ability to network across the world has opened the door to limitless possibilities. Yes, we need new skills... some tech savvy, new knowledges and understandings, and a reminder that for 'people' people - how to maintain our authenticity 'online' is something we all need to practice. So I look forward to meeting you in this ever changing world-wide environment and perhaps - if of like mind, - we can find ways to assist and support one another to move toward a prosperous and sustainable future...

He Ora, He Pounamu There is no such thing as an 'ordinary' life... All of us have a story to tell. Some of us need help to do so. Ordinary people often lead extraordinary lives, that slip unknown into the past. Let the team at Haerenga Ora - Life Journeys ensure your story lives on as inspiration for future generations. Whether the term used is Life Story, Personal History, Memoir... what we are looking to do is celebrate a life... Our team is committed to "preserve, protect and enhance the value of our living histories as unique and powerful because they speak to our presence in the world and to the lives of those who have gone before who deserve to be remembered." Whatever your project, the preservation of whanau, family stories, experiences that shaped your life, to bring tupuna, ancestors to life through sharing your memories and those stories that are your legacy to the future, we can help. "When a society or a civilization perishes, one condition can always be found. They forgot where they came from." -- Carle Sandburg

Our Key Messages NZ Māori Council is a statutory body for all Māori established 50 years ago. Since 1962, the Council has led Māori policy development at the national level and community development at a local level. Council has commenced a renewal process to take a more effective role in national policy development. The Council will re-establish representation in those districts who do not have any people validly in office. The Council will work with Iwi Leaders’ and the Iwi Leadership Group. The Council’s functions for all Māori remain as relevant today as they have been over the last 50 years.
