Leading all program strategies for the Louisiana Perinatal Hepatitis B Prevention Program, as required by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Cooperative Agreement. Work closely with state, local and tribal health jurisdictions on implementation of program strategies, policies, best practices, and national guidelines to improve population-based health in Louisiana. Assist the Immunization Program team with COVID-19 vaccine planning, procurement, and distribution.
Coordinated all surveillance and case management activities for the Louisiana Perinatal Hepatitis B Prevention Program to improve population-health in Louisiana. Extensive experience in data utilization and data management in national and statewide health databases.
Oversaw and assisted peer educators in planning, logistics and implementation of community HIV/STI prevention and education sessions and events. Tasks included: coordination of data entry and analysis, development and facilitation of multi-day peer development workshop curriculum to enhance peer educator performance.
Worked directly with patients of under-served communities and Spanish-speaking populations in the New Orleans metro area. Assisted patients in navigating complex health systems in local area. Experience in developing and maintaining data entry and analysis. Created communication materials and correspondence for clinic health information. Worked alongside and in coordination with organization CQI team. Designed/implemented clinical surveys within agency and created data reports using EMR databases. Served as co-facilitator for NO/AIDS Primary Medical Care Consumer Advisory Council (PMC-CAC) serving patients in areas such as diabetes, hypertension and other comorbidities, and also advocating for the needs of the LGBTQ community within the clinical setting. Assisted with agency NCQA Accreditation and revision of clinical protocols and procedures.
