Medical screening examinations, conduct concise, thorough history of present illness from patient, family members and caretakers, perform physical exams, order and interpret labs, ECGs, x-rays, and treatment/management based on assessments, management of a variety of conditions for patients of all ages (pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics). Proctor and assist in teaching physician assistant students in South College PA Program’s Health Assessment and Physical Examination and Didactive Summative Evaluation courses, proctor and grade practical examinations on as needed basis.
Conduct a concise, thorough history of present illness, perform physical exam, order and interpret labs, EKGs, x-rays and treatment/management based on assessments. Management of a variety of both acute and chronic conditions for patients of all ages (pediatrics, adolescents, adults, geriatrics). Clinical procedures include laceration repairs via sutures and dermabond, incision and drainage, joint injections, cutaneous biopsies, sebaceous cyst removal, cryotherapy, foreign body removal, eye exam with fluorescein staining, Pap smears/pelvic exams, toenail removals, and wound care management. The practice has its own imaging center (with imaging modalities including ultrasonography and CT scan), allowing management of acute conditions including kidney stones, colitis/diverticulitis, cholecystitis, appendicitis, etc.
