This role was a versatile management position focused on optimizing firm operations and mitigating risk. Key responsibilities included managing weekly project staffing across the entire office to align quantitative and qualitative needs with transparent timelines. The position also served as the primary contact for firm-wide liability insurance contract review, negotiating project-specific policies and internally assessing risk for all Prime contracts. Furthermore, the role managed multiple outsourced service providers for IT and office needs, developed and tracked the annual IT budget for data-driven decisions, and coordinated an objective, multi-school recruitment strategy. Finally, the individual standardized business reporting, including construction cost and fee analysis, and acted as a corporate representative for legal matters.
In this leadership role, I was responsible for the Multifamily (MF) sector, actively contributing to or leading over twenty projects as a Project Manager, Project Architect, or Construction Administration lead over a four-year period. My primary focus involved providing technical leadership and management for up to a dozen concurrent MF projects, alongside other commercial and specialty projects (Office, Retail, Religious, and Food/Beverage). I also enhanced internal efficiency by developing multiple technical documentation templates, including an organized Code Search framework.
I led the firm's transition and adoption of BIM workflows, including managing the deployment, adaptation, and standardization of Archicad software across the organization. My expertise in this area is validated by my Graphisoft BIM Manager Certification, and I actively represented the firm in regional virtual knowledge-sharing forums to stay current on industry best practices.
I was instrumental in developing new mid-rise building products by performing in-depth code research, refining crucial architectural details, and managing the technical execution of new materials and products. I also maintained project cost analysis for firm-wide construction efforts and conducted thorough in-field inspections of final interior and exterior work prior to release to the Owner.
I led the Design Team and consultants from the schematic design phase through to final, federated project delivery. I was responsible for the design development of multi-family and senior living projects, providing crucial in-office Construction Administration support by promptly responding to RFIs, preparing ASIs, and reviewing submittals to ensure design intent was met. Leveraging prior experience with AutoCAD, I also efficiently contributed production skills to the preparation of comprehensive construction documents.
