About

I am a Senior Lecturer in the School of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences at Murdoch University. My primary research area focuses on the Sociology of work and employment including the future of work and the gig economy. I have written about gig economy, migration, poverty governance, urban marginality, housing and place-based disadvantage. I am a mixed-methods researcher with extensive experience in conducting and publishing qualitative, quantitative and digital research and working with multidisciplinary teams that include stakeholders from academia, industry and local, state and federal governments. I am a Fellow in the Australian Welfare and Work Lab. I am also an Affiliate Fellow in the ARC Centre of Excellence for Children and Families over the Life Course (Life Course Centre).
