My role at Tucker and Tunstalls Ltd. involves accounting and administrative tasks, and supporting colleagues in their duties.
The Laidlaw Scholarship is a two year programme, which sees scholars undertake a six-week research project in the first summer, a six-week Leadership in Action (LIA) project abroad in the second summer, and leadership training through the programme. My research project (‘How has arts and humanities research influenced public policy making’), supervised by Professor Arlene Holmes Henderson MBE, saw my production and editing of a brochure of case studies regarding research-policy engagement. For my LIA, I interned at the Kasiisi Project, a conservation and health NGO in Western Uganda.
As a Laidlaw Leadership and Research Programme Student Intern, I supported the organisation the 2025 Laidlaw European Conference, hosted at my university. This involved co-ordinating volunteers and events, and facilitating two masterclasses for scholarships. I also assisted in administrative and organisational tasks for the University's Laidlaw department.
