In 2015, Luke founded "Lucky Box Club", a cannabis subscription box and delivery service in Sacramento, California. Since then, Lucky Box Club was named the "Best Cannabis Subscription Box in California" by Leafly.com, "Best of Weedmaps", and nominated for “Best Startup Box” and “Best Sell Through Box” at the SUBTA SubSummit Awards and "Best Booth" at The Hightimes Cannabis Cup. Luke's history in cannabis began with working in the medical marijuana industry in California in 2008 running a large-scale cultivation operation. After over a decade in the cannabis industry, Luke has consulted on hundreds of cultivation, production, development, and marketing projects. As the owner, founder, and president of Lucky Box Club, Luke directly managed all aspects of a cannabis retail delivery license. From purchasing and inventory to staff management to compliance, to sales revenue growth, he has extensive experience in all aspects of managing a cannabis business. With a specialty in marketing and creative direction, Luke has attended and/or produced marketing experiences at Hall of Flowers, The Emerald Cup, Hempcon, SolBlume, Northern Nights, HighTimes Cannabis Cup, MJ BizCon, New West Summit, and Chalice Cup. Most recently, Luke was a speaker at the SUBTA Subsummit in Orlando and gave a talk on “Cannabis and Subscription”. Luke is also the former Secretary of the California Cannabis Couriers Association, and the President of the “Ganja Golf League” and “Golfing on the Green” golf tournaments.
