About

Research scientist with expertise in cell culture, microscopy, and single cell sequencing techniques. My research has focused on various aspects of brain development, from synapse formation and maintenance to neural production in the cerebral cortex. I've enjoyed developing my own independent projects as well as collaborating with my excellent colleagues in order to understand how the human brain is made.

  • Postdoctoral Researcher at Case Western Reserve University
    Jul 2015 - Oct 2024 · 9 yrs 4 mos

Postdoctoral researcher in the laboratory of Dr. Anthony Wynshaw-Boris in the Department of Genetics and Genome Sciences at Case Western Reserve University. I developed an independent project utilizing single-cell RNA-sequencing combined with lineage tracing in human stem-cell derived cortical organoids. Using this novel system, we were able to uncover unique aspects of brain development in both neurotypical and disease models.
