I am a highly motivated and passionate student filmmaker with a solid background in directing, editing, screenwriting and assistant directing. I am graduating from Swinburne University of Technology in 2024 and am looking for exciting opportunities to apply my creative skillset and technical expertise in professional production settings.
- I have written and directed three short films - these projects demonstrate my clear and concise written communication, highly refined editing and proofing skills, strong attention to detail, ability to effectively liaise with various departments, confidence as a team leader, and track record in successfully pitching projects for green-light approval. - I have edited six short films and two music videos, displaying my well-developed technical skillset. I am experienced in managing post-production pathways, meeting deadlines and developing organised workflows. My skills in interpersonal communication and creative teamwork have informed successful collaborations with several directors. My music video edits for Agung Mango (‘foRRest’) and Cherry Chola (‘Princess Puta’) were both selected as the weekly Wild One pick by ABC’s Rage program, proving my ability to deliver post-production outcomes to a professional standard. - I have worked as an assistant director on ten projects, combining my knowledge of filmmaking processes and experience in team leadership to effectively support various directors in running organised sets. - I have crewed on over 20 productions in various capacities, showing my diverse skillset and ability to work effectively within teams. - I am well-versed in pre-production to post-production workflows, scheduling and meeting deadlines. - My understanding of film festival circuits is solid - my short film ‘Bedbound’ most recently screened at Monster Fest in 2020.
- I edited over 45 digital content pieces for sponsors of WTFN’s TV shows ‘Space Invaders’ and ‘28 Days That Changed My Life’. - I assisted in the production of on-site studio shoots. - I developed server structures to better improve the efficiency of the company's internal organisation.
- I devised, shot and edited video/photographic content for online distribution on both website and social media platforms. - I researched, produced and edited written content for publication on various platforms, including print, website, intranet and social media. - I ensured the stylistic consistency of written/photographic content across online platforms, which included developing an ONJCRI photographic style guide. - I managed the Institute's official social media accounts during 2018. - I compiled and interpreted social media analytics in detailed reports. - I provided support to the Communications Manager in various capacities. - The most popular video that I produced was viewed over 165,000 times via Facebook (including views on the official page of associated organisation Love Your Sister), and a video celebrating International Women's Day was viewed over 2,900 times. - During 2018, when I was in charge of social media, the ONJCRI saw a 100% increase in the size of its Facebook audience.
