Accountable for Pilot Plant operations (process development, NPD, etc) and for the Orion global team of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
In this position, accountable for the leadership of a second line of management which incorporates EHS, Quality, Production, Logistics, Logistics, Maintenance, Investment Projects, Technology and Productivity, Finance, HR and Information Technology. Along with the Management Team, responsible for setting out strategic and operational goals, in order to meet the turnover targets within the established deadlines, with proper quality levels and highly competitive costs, ensuring the Company’s operations to run smoothly and according to Company's expectations for its branch in Italy. In general, accountable for: - Managing and coordinating all industrial-related activities with the purpose of reaching plant specific goals (KPI's) and corporate objectives by engaging the second line of management, pushing them up to a higher level of responsibility and accountability. - Full compliance to all applicable local, state and federal legislations and with own Orion SA policies. - Maintaining the requirements of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and achieving as well in the course of the years other relevant certifications such as the ISO 45001 (Safety Management), EMAS (Environmental Management, as part of the Chemical District in Ravenna), ISCC+ (Sustainable Raw Materials) and last but not least the ISO 50001 certification (Energy Management). - Representing the Company before the community, workers’ Union representatives, other companies and governmental agencies and entities to discuss topics associated with the industrial activities in Italy. - Planning and recommending investments to fulfill Company's strategies and customer's expectations, through proper preparation of annual budgets for Personnel, OPEX and CAPEX. - Contributing with a full functional turnaround plan to achieve and maintain a higher desired level of OAE (Overall Asset Effectiveness), with actions being taken in all of its three fronts : quality, reliability and productivity.

As part of the increased focus, the ESHQ function was split into an EHS and Q, improving both ends while keeping their interconnectivity. - Maintaining the requirements of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and achieving as well in the course of 2018 the ISO 50001 certification (energy management). Increased focus in CSR at plant level. - Representing the Company before the community, workers’ Union representatives, other companies and governmental agencies and entities to discuss topics associated with the industrial activities in Sweden. - Planning and recommending investments to fulfill Company's strategies and customer's expectations, through proper preparation of annual budgets for Personnel, OPEX and CAPEX. - Contributing with a full functional turnaround plan to achieve and maintain a higher desired level of OAE (Overall Asset Effectiveness), with actions being taken in all of its three fronts : quality, reliability and productivity.
As final part of the Expat Program, moved to Production Manager, being responsible for the production activities of the Evonik / Orion Ravenna Carbon Black plant in Ravenna, Italy. At the end of the period, returned to Paulinia, Brazil as Production and Process Manager.
Handed over the Utilities function to the new Process Engineer, acquiring the Procurement responsibilities for the Evonik Ravenna Carbon Black plant in Ravenna, Italy.
Technology responsibilities for the Carbon Black facility handed over to a new Process Engineer. Kept full responsibilities for the Quality Control Lab and Utilities supply to Evonik Carbon Black plant in Ravenna, Italy.
Moved from Piping/Layout Engineer to Process Engineer at the Central Engineering Department. Responsible for several feasibility studies and basic engineering projects in various plants in Paulinia Chemical Facility of Rhodia Brasil Ltda.
