Luis is the Group Business Development & Marketing Director of Wallem Group, based in Hong Kong. He partners with customers to create and deliver the value they require to succeed in their business, returning sustainable profitable revenue growth to Wallem Group. A creative, visionary leader and executive, experienced innovator and strategist, Luis is accountable for driving sustainable profitable growth for Wallem Group, working with customers globally. Luis is skilled at connecting technology, new business models and talent with customers’ commercial needs. Luis is passionate about discovering people’s strengths and put them to work for maximum impact, and became a Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach last April 2024. Prior to joining Wallem Group, Luis has worked with Lloyd’s Register (LR) at Spain, Korea, Singapore, UK and Japan. While at Tokyo, Japan, Luis was the LR Customer Success Partner for selected Tokyo-based maritime and logistics world leading Japanese corporations. He pioneered the Strategic Business Partner role, for helping driving Japanese customers’ business success forward while generating growth for Lloyd’s Register globally. Prior to his Tokyo assignment, Luis was the Innovation and Co-creation Director for Lloyd's Register based at Southampton, England: leading the ideation and development of customer-focus disruptive and digital innovation minimum viable products, services and new business models. A role he took after spending 4 years building and implementing the Global Strategic Marketing function in LR Marine Division from Singapore and Southampton. Luis dedicated ample time to work with customers within Korea; he became the Country Manager for LR Korea (2008-12) and the Business Development Manager for LR Korea (2006-8), after having managed several ship new construction projects. Luis has engaged with maritime industry stakeholders at 100+ local, global, and international forums, conferences, exhibitions and customers committees across 4 continents at over 30 countries; he has conducted workshops as an industry thought leader seminars on Digital Transformation, Digitalisation, Autonomy and AI, Technology and Innovation, and Maritime Industry Trends globally. Luis is the founder of HUMAN21 since 2020 and the “Meet The Human” podcast Host and Producer since 2025.

Leading the ideation, incubating and development of new businesses and business models, by fostering entrepreneurial ventures and innovation within the corporation, creating differentiated value to customers, through a combination of organic talent development, partnering and targeted acquisitions models. Significant outcome includes: - Innovation and Digital Transformation Strategy created and launched for the business division globally, triggering digitalisation global investment plan. - Created a new Digital Innovation Venture. - Board Director on new Digital Innovation Corporate Venture. - Incubating a new Digital Assurance Venture.
