¡Saludos! I’m a first-generation recent graduate from San Diego State University, receiving my bachelor’s degree in Chicana and Chicano Studies. I’m passionate about enhancing and empowering the educational wealth of BIPOC students and communities through higher education and access to information, creating uplifting environments for success, and reimagining institutions to fit the needs of diverse backgrounds and experiences. I believe that meaningful change begins with access to education and deconstructing boundaries that prohibit so, in means of valuing the student life experience and ensuring their advancement. I am motivated in setting a foundation for my professional development by assisting students as they navigate their academic journey through the support of resources and opportunities while recognizing and understanding the student life experience. I’m currently interested in finding a start for my career working in student services whether it be at the k-12 level, higher institutions, or the non-profit sector.
