ILSI is a non-profit, worldwide foundation, established to advance the understanding of scientific issues relating to nutrition, food safety, consumer behaviour and sustainability. Founded in 1986, ILSI Europe fosters collaboration among the best scientists from industry, academia and the public sector to provide evidence-based scientific solutions. As a Scientific Project Manager, my main activities and responsibilities are: - Daily management of several task forces and coordination of their activities: Sensory Science & Consumer Behaviour, Nutrition & Brain Health and Alternatives to Animal Testing in Food Safety & Nutrition; - Involvement in the NWO-funded Satisfaction Project and the EU-funded H2020 SWEET Project ; - Coordination of the work of scientific experts from academia, industry, governments and regulatory bodies; - Coordination of peer-reviewed publications; - Organisation of scientific meetings; - Organisation of sessions at international conferences, workshops, symposia, webinars and related dissemination activities; - Budget management.
