Managing, training and mentoring a developer team ( 2 direct reports ) - Working very close with product managers: reviewing the design brief, analyzing the first designs until sign off to the development team, under consideration of feature sets, finishing and pricing - Entire product development, beginning with the design-hand-over up to the bulk production - This includes the whole price negotiations (under the aspect of cost-efficiency) during the development process: analyzing costing sheets, preparing costing overviews etc. - Defining and supervising workload and business trips within the global development calendar - Mentoring workmanship, construction and fit issues, during the whole development process - Defining the vendor allocation - Analyzing the sport market, competitors and price points Managing special projects: • Fall 2015: ad initio launching and developing a completely new winter collection (Action Sports for European market, most technical and fuctional at a reasonable price and margin)
Managing, training and mentoring a developer and trainee ( 2 direct reports) Managing special projects: • Analizing sizes and defining a new " TNF Europe" fitting standard • Spring 2014: launching and developing shell jackets and pants of 2 and 2.5 layers (successfully first time completely developed in Europe under the aspect of increasing quality, gaining margin, defining a European fit and reducing costs). • Fall 2013: launching a completely new Triclimate collection: 2 jackets in 1 (successfully first time completely developed in Europe under the aspect of increasing quality, gaining margin, defining a European fit and saving costs).
Product Developer of a garment collection between 60 – 70 pieces (base layer, mid layer, jackets, pants, racing suits, accessories) - Products: down, insulation, Gore-Tex, seam taped and bonded garments, soft shells and seamless - Creating spec packs, measurement charts, detailed sketches and workmanship comments - Following up prototype-development from design-hand-over up to production - Pattern modification and fitting - Searching and evaluating new fabrics - Complete responsibility for all new trim developments - Costing under the development aspect - Meeting athletes, for a better product understanding, creating new ideas, brainstorming… - Working close to the sales department to gain feedback and special requests - Quality management, random quality controls at the warehouse, the vendors, the suppliers etc. - Special Project: * In 2011 Dynafit launched for the first time a summer collection, which was developed under the aspect “What does a ski tour skier do during summertime? – Biking and trail running!” It included a full range of tops and pants, suitable for running and biking with very detailed features.
