Physician (M.D.) graduated from the Faculdade de Medicina de Marília (FAMEMA), with research experience in medical sciences. My medical degree was evaluated by World Education Services (WES) through a Course-by-Course Evaluation with ICAP, recognized as equivalent to a U.S. first professional degree in medicine (Doctor of Medicine). Author and co-author of more than 89 peer-reviewed articles indexed in PubMed, with two additional accepted manuscripts awaiting publication, and over 3,692 citations (h-index 34, i10-index 61) according to Google Scholar. I also hold a degree in Hospital Management. At York University, I will be focusing my research on better understanding the new drivers of aging and developing novel personalized therapies aimed at improving human health span, supported by the Canada Impact+ Research Training Award (CIRTA) from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR).
I will be conducting doctoral research funded by the Canada Impact+ Research Training Award (CIRTA), with a focus on advancing healthy aging and precision medicine. My work will investigate new biological and molecular drivers of aging to identify novel therapeutic targets. The ultimate goal of this research is to contribute to the development of personalized therapies aimed at extending human health span and mitigating age-related decline.

I was a Research Fellow in Health Sciences at Universidade de Marília (UNIMAR), where I contributed to academic research and scientific development in the field of healthcare. My role involved supporting research projects, conducting data analysis, and preparing scientific publications, with a focus on advancing knowledge and improving health outcomes.
I served as a Research Assistant under the supervision of Professor Sandra Maria Barbalho. During this time, I was actively involved in research projects, developing skills in scientific methodology, data collection, analysis, and academic writing. Professor Sandra, a renowned expert in her field, provided invaluable guidance, offering a strong foundation of knowledge and practical experience that significantly enriched my academic and scientific development.
I provided outpatient medical care for type 1 diabetes patients at the Medical Specialties Clinic (AME) of the Universidade de Marília (UNIMAR). This work was carried out under the supervision of Dr. Jesselina Francisco dos Santos Haber, a renowned Pediatric Endocrinologist. Alongside clinical evaluations and patient monitoring, we collected clinical data and wrote scientific articles, contributing to research and advancing knowledge in pediatric endocrinology. Dr. Jesselina’s expert guidance ensured the high quality of both the patient care and the scientific publications we produced.
Research Fellow in the Scientific Initiation Scholarship Program (PIBIC) of the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq) (Brazil) for the 2024/2025 period, under the guidance of Professor Sandra Maria Barbalho. During this time, I actively contributed to the research project titled 'Extracellular Vesicles Derived from Adipose Tissue: Their Role in Insulin Resistance and Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease Associated with Obesity – A Systematic Review.' This project involved a thorough analysis of extracellular vesicles from adipose tissue and their effects on insulin resistance and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) related to obesity. Our goal was to compile and synthesize existing evidence to better understand the underlying mechanisms and explore potential therapeutic interventions, advancing scientific knowledge in this important area of medicine.
