Recent Graduate from the University of California, Davis with a B.S. in Cognitive Science (Neuroscience Emphasis) with Honors. My experience focused on combating mental health issues within my community and the greater public through participating in academic research and advocating for more accessible resources and education on critical topics of psychological well-being. I plan to continue this passion through psychology research to help develop new therapies that fight mental health disorders.
-Promoted to service coordinator, being given more responsibility over the residents’ care plan. -Conducted psychosocial assessments to identify behavioral and functional needs, informing individualized behavioral care planning. -Involved in the coordination of interdisciplinary care, collaborating with physicians, nurses, and therapists to improve patient outcomes and discharge planning. -Oversaw implementation of recovery service plans to ensure behavioral care in collaboration with nursing staff.
-Facilitated recreational and rehabilitation group activities to promote emotional well-being. -Supported clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as personal hygiene and nutrition, through check-ins and documentation to encourage independence. -Assist in behavioral crises utilizing de-escalation and intervention techniques as needed. -Record and maintain detailed documentation of behavior for the nursing staff to assess the need for interventions.
-Co-managing a project that will analyze ECG data from over 600 veterans for predictors of suicidal ideation. -Edited and cleaned sleep EEG and EMG data to identify changes in sleep architecture. -Oversaw data entry into RedCap for a Phase IV clinical drug trial for PTSD and insomnia for 92 completers -Used CPRS and Excel spreadsheets to manage patient records of prescriptions, study visits, and patient health status for a Phase IV clinical drug trial for posttraumatic stress and insomnia disorder -Managed subjects’ study enrollment, scheduling, correspondence, appointment reminders, and payment -Screened and recruited participants over the phone who were referred by Study Pages and Trial Facts -Conducted medical chart/record reviews and psychometric assessments (e.g. MOCA) for study eligibility -Instructed patients on study procedures and conducted phone follow-ups to monitor for side effects and check adherence to the medication schedule -Packaged, downloaded, and initialized sleep equipment (actigraphs, WatchPAT, and sleep profilers) for participants across multiple states
- Established connections with over 50 clients and provided coaching to improve their tennis skills. - Assisted in teaching clinics ranging from 1 to 20 clients and worked on creating customized practice plans tailored to address specific tennis skills and fitness objectives. - Provided personalized training for individuals aged 4-70, taking into account differences in age and varying levels of ability. - Worked individually or with groups of children ranging from 4 to 17 years old on learning the fundamentals of tennis while fostering a supportive, safe environment.
-Edited ECG data of over 100 participants using MindWare HRV Analysis software to clean data for the Fidgeting Regulation Study -Scored clinical ADHD assessment surveys, such as the Conners Scale, on Redcap to quantify and summarize data for further analysis -Helped to create the stimuli presented in the virtual reality experiment tasks of the VRAM study -Used Google Excel to consolidate and organize data obtained from HRV analysis to summarize large amounts of RSA and RMSSD data
-Co-Founded the UC Davis Chapter and student-run club as a branch off the global My State of Mind mental health foundation -Organized large Zoom conferences and workshops of 100+ attendees where prominent mental health activists and professionals were invited to educate the UC Davis community on mental health topics -Lead weekly meetings with My State of Mind team members to deconstruct large projects and designate manageable tasks to team members -Hosted free workshops for Davis public that presented information on various mental health topics and resources such as how-tos on meditation and accessing therapy options through the UC Davis campus services
