The main tasks related to this commitment include overseeing the development of the scientific content for the Spine Section meeting at the ORS Annual Meeting, developing scientific research topics and programming, including speakers and presenters at the Section Meeting and any Section-organized webinars, promoting awards and publications to complement scientific activities, and participating in the ORS Scientific Meetings Council.
AO Spine KF Degenerative is working on exciting and innovative projects to understand and treat degenerative spinal disorders. They have ongoing projects on classifying and refining the best uses of biologics in the spine and on clinical questions regarding the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine.
The NASS Clinical Practice Guidelines Committee is responsible for the development and revision of NASS clinical practice guidelines regarding the diagnosis and treatment of spinal disorders and injuries.
The NASS Research Funding Committee's responsibilities include grading letters of proposal, invited grant applications and fellowship applications, and the revision of yearly research funding applications.
