I was holding two roles: - responsible for the End-to-End Supply Chain of Heineken Italy (production and logistics) - leader of a major transformational program at European level (manufacturing excellence). I was part of the Executive Board of Heineken Italia, reporting to the Managing Director. Heineken is the beer market leader in Italy, with about 1 bEUR revenue, 150 MEUR EBITDA, 1.300 employee. My functional mission was to lead the End-to-End Supply Chain: 4 breweries, Logistics, Customer Service, Planning, Product Development, Engineering, and other central departments. Currently, I'was focusing on two areas: the improvement of the overall efficiency of the Italian breweries (including a strong sustainability agenda) and mitigating the effects of the European supply crisis (input costs, transports and packaging availability). In 2022, Heineken Italy has been considered the favorite FMCG company by the Italian Modern Trade customers (according Advantage report). I was also leading a major transformation program impacting all the 60 European plants, in order to leverage the regional scale and to improve overall performance. Main challenges were productivity and efficiencies. For this activity, I was coordinating an international team of 25 full-time dedicated senior leaders and top talents.
Spain is one of the major countries for Heineken worldwide (about 1.000 MEUR revenue, 170 MEUR EBITDA, 1.700 employees). I Wlas part of the Executive Board and my functional mission was to lead the End-to-End Supply Chain: 4 breweries, Logistics, Customer Service, Planning, Product Development, Engineering and other central departments. I joined Heineken Spain in a very critical moment caused by COVID19 crisis, which affected brutally the HoReCa business and the company performance. My main mission was to reorganize the operations to gain short-term benefits (double digit productivity, costs and efficiency improvements) and long-term sustainability thanks to a focused TPM approach on shop floor and collaborative End-2-End program with Commerce functions. The Covid crisis didn鈥檛 stop the environmental sustainability agenda: for example, we transformed the first brewery in Spain (and one of the major in Europe) completely carbon neutral. Top result was the greatest saving in Europe together with a strong improvement of Service Level appreciation in the market.
