Being responsible of four Work Packages related to the processing and analysis of Sen2like harmonized time-series from PRISMA, SENTINEL-2 and LANDSAT-8 satellites, for the study of the phenology of vegetation surrounding landfill sites. Supervising and coordinating the set-up of a dedicated cloud platform to ingest Analysis Ready data (ARD) data and related algorithms to allow data access and customizable solutions for diverse requirements and levels of expertise.
Analyzing the request and the scope of the disaster then preparing an archive and acquisition plan using available satellite resources, planning out what would be the best satellites to use over the impacted area. This plan is submitted to the relevant space agencies, which task their satellites accordingly if it is possible to meet the request. Filling out the dossier document which describes the disaster and what has been carried out for the activation.
Technical assistance to Sentinel-1 A/B mission management: - handling of observation scenario and of inputs for long-term-plan; - creating and maintaining mission requirements dataBASE; - direct interface with Copernicus users (EMSA & SAR SEA ICE etc ) - Collection of requirements, feasibility study and simulation; - CP outreach assistance; - ground stations visibility analysis;
Available 24h/day, 7 days/week. Following activation of the charter of 'Space and Major Disasters', from disaster management authorities, from countries of Charter member agencies: - Receiving calls requesting space data images and information. - Identifying the caller as being an AU (Authorized User). - Obtaining and confirming with the AU the information required (approximate geographical location and surface extent of the disaster). - Transmitting the information to the ECO (Emergency On-Call Officer). - Contacting the ECO within an hour.
