Ground Segment System Engineer at ESA/ESRIN Specialties: System and AIV engineering: analysis and definition of system requirements, interface control documents, test and integration plans and procedures, platform set-up and transfer to operations. System engineering in support to operations: verification of systems correct behaviour, issue detection and implementation of workarounds to ensure systems smooth operations. Design and development: development of tools for platforms management.
Current responsibilities: - ESA Biomass PDGS system overall specification (requirements, design, interfaces, etc.) - Sub-systems Requirements definition - Technical management of the PDGS system and sub-systems implementation - Technical coordination of the PDGS implementation team. - Support to the PDGS operations during the Commissioning phase - Support to the Ground Segment Manager for the PDGS Transfer to Operations
Operations, maintenance and evolution of the ESA Swarm PDGS: - Support to the PDGS operations during phases E1 and E2 - Investigation of the anomalies detected during the PDGS operations - Coordination of the maintenance team for resolution of the anomalies. - Coordination of the operation and quality control teams for the validation and installation of new software releases - Preparation of plans and procedures for the system validation and integration - PDGS system evolution specification - Support to the definition of the new system architectures and to the development of the new software components.
