Managing the project 'Building Inclusive Markets and Decent Work for Syrian Refugees and Lebanese Host Communities' (BOUZOUR), funded by the Swedish International Development Agency (Sida). The project aims to develop specific agricultural and agri-food value chains with potential for decent job creation that will benefit both Lebanese and Syrian vulnerable population groups.
- Technical backstopping for projects on inclusive market systems development focused on refugees' livelihoods in over 10 countries. - Create innovative market-based intervention models and value chain development initiatives that significantly improve the livelihoods and income-generating potential of women, refugees, and their host communities. - Generate knowledge on inclusive entrepreneurship ecosystems and SME development, and inclusive value chain and market systems development. - Focal point for global projects on SME resilience, particularly in piloting tools and implementing interventions to increase the resilience of micro and small businesses in targeted sectors.
- Assisted in the design of short, medium, and long-term public policies aimed at promoting and facilitating universal access to financial services. - Analysed primary and secondary information on the access and use of financial services in the country, with special emphasis on underserved individuals and MSMEs. - Managed and organized the National Council for Financial Inclusion responsible for putting forward financial inclusion policies at the government level. - Prepared technical reports on financial inclusion policies. - Worked in close coordination with the Central Bank, presenting regulatory changes and proposals to improve the digital payments infrastructure. - Shared lessons learned and experiences with other Financial Inclusion Departments from Latin America. - Drafted, developed, and monitored the National Strategy for Financial Inclusion.
Monitored developments in the economy, research, and report to authorities about G20 countries’ economic, financial, and sector issues. Prepared briefs and analytical notes and contributed to the drafting of documents and reports published during the Argentine Presidency of the G20 working groups: Global Economy, Infrastructure, International Financial Architecture, Financial Regulation, Financial Inclusion, Sustainable Finance, and International Taxation, with gender as a cross-cutting issue.
