In 2020 I launched my own business, www.sukikoko.com. I am passionate about this online shop and enjoy every part of the process. I buy the stock, have designed the website and manage the 'Pop-Up shop' events (five and counting). I feel I have used the challenges presented to me in 2020 and created something fun, interesting and successful, I am excited to see where this take me and how far the business can go! The experience from my media sales career has been invaluable, learning the art of sales, negotiation and people skills can never be underestimated. We are learning new skills all the time and applying these to different walks of life keeps things interesting.
In August 2020 I started www.Sukikoko.com a fun, interesting and bold online life style Shop. Based online we have had an incredibly successful launch with a number of 'pop-up shop' experiences in Altrincham, with much support and praise from our wonderful customers. I am learning all the time but am totally passionate about starting a business, I have been thrown in at the deep end and often wear many hats; Buyer, web designer, visual merchandiser, customer service, PR, Accounting - It's all on me and it's fantastic!
I worked at H Bauer Publishing for just short of 8 years and during that time I did a number of roles across the portfolio of both print media and online. My main role latterly was overseeing and negotiating all contracts and representing a number of West End Agencies. I started in the business as a Sales Executive the quickly progressed to Senior Sales, Group Advertising Manager and finally Agency Sales Manager. As a direct report to the Managing Director I was responsible for all contracts, deals and agency relationships. I loved my time at H Bauer and left due to starting a family and relocating.
Working for the 'Sun' Newspaper and the now defunct 'News of the World' Newspaper as a Display Sales Executive.
